Basketball Camp 2015

Camping Online Health and Release Form

Welcome to Young Life’s Annual Basketball Camp! If your son wants to participate, you may be wondering "What is the purpose? Who is behind it?” Our aim is to provide resources and an atmosphere where kids can make intelligent decisions for themselves through the platform of basketball. We are available to serve kids’ needs and communicate the Christian faith in terms that they can understand.

Courts are being set, captains named, trophies prepared, and drills set up for kids to enjoy all the basketball they can handle. Family First Sports Park is one of the finest facilities in the country, and Young Life is making it possible to enjoy the experience of a lifetime. Family First Sports Park is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. There are 100 acres of manicured playing fields, a 3,000 seat artificial turf soccer stadium, a championship softball field, two NPSL regulation indoor soccer fields, two regulation basketball/volleyball courts, an on-site housing and conference center, a brand new 12,000 square foot fitness center, an outdoor adventure center, batting cage, miniature golf course, and a cart track. It is truly a one-of-a-kind regional resource that has everyone talking. Kids will also meet kids from all over the east coast.

As we prepare for this long anticipated week, there are a few necessary items to be noted. In order to take advantage of this trip, the enclosed paper work (parental consent form, registration form, and health form) must be completed and turned in on June 14TH, 2015 along with the balanced owed for the trip. Please attach a copy of your child’s immunization records to the health form. This will save time in trip preparation. The health form will ask for a physical; it is not necessary, but PLEASE SIGN ALL SECTIONS THAT REQUIRE A PARENTAL SIGNATURE. A $50 deposit is required to hold your place. Please make your check or money order payable to Young Life.

The total cost of the trip is $200. This price includes transportation, room, board and a camp t-shirt. Kids will need to bring plenty of clothing: gym shorts, underwear, deodorant, socks, and etc. Linens will be limited so please bring sheets, blankets, towels, your own pillow, and any extra materials you deem necessary. Extra spending money for snacks and travel ($50 or less) is also needed. This unique camp experience is restricted to young men who will participate in all prepared activities. All money and paperwork are due on June 14TH, 2014 before departing New York City. If you have questions concerning any aspect of the trip, please contact me (Paul Coty) at While all times are approximate, we aim to keep as close to the schedule as possible.

We will depart Christian Cultural Center, 12020 Flatlands Avenue at 6:30 a.m. on June 21ST and return back to Christian Cultural Center June 26TH at 7 p.m.

If you would like to talk to a member of our staff or a Young Life volunteer in New York City, we will gladly address any questions or concerns. Contact Paul Coty at (917) 435-7843. Responsible, mature leaders will be involved with your kids in a well-planned program for the entire week.
